When will the things that are answered with "will be announced later" be announced?
If we have an estimated time for the announcement it will be included in the answer in this FAQ. If there's no time or estimate included in the answer, the time of the announcement remains to be announced.

Final Beta and Release

I found a bug. How do I report it?
Contact a GM in-game. Click the red "?" button in-game for more information.


What about the /bug and /suggest commands in-game?
Those commands are no longer supported and will be removed in a later patch.

I can't get the game running, or it doesn't seem to work as it should. Where do I look for help?

When will there be more testers, and how will these be added?
We will add more testers starting with the second phase of Final Beta, which begins towards the end of January. Players will be able to sign up on a first-come, first-serve system by using a beta key which will be posted on the World of Warcraft web site.

Is the second phase of Final Beta an Open Beta? No. The second phase of Final beta will have a pre-determined cap on the number of sign-ups.

With the start of the second phase of Final Beta, will old Beta accounts still be usable? Yes.

Will I be able to keep my beta character when the game goes retail? Will there be a character wipe at the end of Final Beta?
This will be announced later.

Can I continue to use my Final Beta client when the game is released?
You can continue to use the same client after release as you are using in Final Beta. There's no need to reinstall.

When will the game be released?

Servers

Are the servers down? If yes, why are they down?
Check the Server Status forum:

If there’s no news there, wait 5 minutes and try log in again.

When will there be more servers?
We will increase the number of servers as needed throughout the Final Beta test. More servers typically come as we add more testers.

Where are the servers physically located?

At two Data Centers in Europe: one in Paris and one in Frankfurt. The servers in Frankfurt will be available at the start of the second phase of the Final Beta.

When selecting server, can I see which Data Center the server is located at?
There will be no indication of this on the server selection list in-game.

Will there be role-playing servers in the Final Beta? And how about at release?
There will be no role-playing servers during the Final Beta. When the game is released there will be role-playing servers in English, French and German.

What will the servers names be when the game is released?
This will be announced later.

Are people allowed to speak all kinds of languages in the public in-game channels?
All public chat is required to be in the server's preferred language.

Are we able to play on the US servers, and are the US players able to play on the European ones?
For those European gamers still wishing to play with their American friends on the North American servers, and vice versa, Blizzard will provide a means to make this possible after the European launch.

Are custom interfaces allowed?
Yes. However, please note that we can’t ensure these interface modifications work properly and do not provide Customer Support for them.
